Research methodology training

Description

The PSDR Research Methodology Workshop series at Tribhuvan University was succesfully conducted during the fall 2012. The Workshop was organized as four distinct but inter-related events. In order to support and develop participants' sensitivity to the importance of appropriately conceptualized research problems and the relation of these to data collection methods, the workshop was structured around presentations of theory, small fieldwork assignments and a continual revision of findings from the field.

The overall aim of the workshop was to give the participants a chance to become more accustomed with different data collection methods, to enhance their ability to organize and analyze collected data and finally to strenghten and improve the participants' ability to bring together empirical work into coherent and well-structured academic reports.

Key teaching team:

  • Ulla Ambrosius Madsen, Roskilde University
