Working Groups

The Working Groups are overall responsible for ensuring proper planning, implementation and reporting of activities within the budget and according to the Logical Framework. This includes taking relevant steps to ensure that all targets as indicated in the Monitoring Matrix for each activity are achieved.

Planning, implementation and reporting will be done in close collaboration with Working Groups at the three partner universities.

The Assessment Working Groups are overall responsible for ensuring that applications for Ph.D. grants and grants for small-scale research projects and staff mobility, are assessed and awarded in accordance with pre-defined and transparent criteria

Kenya

Preben Kaarsholm, Roskilde University, is responsible for coordinating and organising the activities of the Danish members of the Kenya Working Group (KE WG).

Kenya Assessment Working Group

The Kenya Assessment Working Group (KE AWG) consists of four members - two appointed by the Vice Chancellor at Maseno University and two appointed by the Danish Platform Steering Committee.

The members are:

  • Professor Norbert Wildermuth

Nepal

Karen Valentin, Aarhus University, is responsible for coordinating and organising the activities of  the Danish members of the Nepal Working Group (NP WG).

Nepal Assessment Working Group

The Nepal Assessment Working Group (NP AWG) consists of four members - two appointed by the Vice Chancellor at Tribhuvan University and two appointed by the Danish Platform Steering Committee.

The members from Tribhuvan University currently awaits confirmation of appointment.

The Danish members are:

Uganda

Michael Whyte, University of Copenhagen and Aarhus University, is responsible for coordinating and organising the activities and the Danish members of the Uganda Working Group (UG WG).
